Lullaby is designed to be used by parents and guardians together with their children. This notice explains how we handle information about children in compliance with the U.S. Children's Online Privacy Protection Act ("COPPA").
1. Children do not create accounts
Only adults (18+) may register for and operate a Lullaby account. We do not knowingly permit children under 13 to create their own accounts, log in, make purchases, or communicate with us directly.
2. Information about a child that a parent provides
When a parent or guardian creates a story, they may choose to enter limited information about a child, such as:
- The child's first name or nickname (used as the story's main character).
- Approximate age or age range (used to tailor story length and vocabulary).
- Optional traits like favorite color or favorite animal.
By entering this information, the parent or guardian provides verifiable consent for us to use it solely to generate the requested story and to display it in their account's library.
3. What we do NOT do
- We do not collect a child's last name, address, phone number, or government identifier.
- We do not use children's information for advertising, behavioral profiling, or marketing.
- We do not sell or rent children's information.
- We do not allow children to publicly post content or interact with other users.
- We do not use children's prompts or generated stories to train third-party AI models.
4. How AI providers handle this information
Story prompts are transmitted to our AI model providers (Anthropic, OpenAI, Google, Replicate, ElevenLabs) only to produce the story, illustrations, and narration. These providers are contractually restricted from using submitted content to train their models.
5. Parent and guardian rights
As the parent or guardian of a child whose information you've entered, you may:
- Review the information associated with your child by visiting your library.
- Delete any story (and the associated child information) at any time.
- Request deletion of all child information and your account by emailing privacy@lullabystories.app.
- Refuse to permit further collection of your child's information by closing your account.
